The Waukee Fire Department is planning a controlled house burn at 1010 Warrior Lane for training purposes on Saturday, Dec. 19 beginning at 8 a.m. This is a rare opportunity for the firefighters to practice fire attack and rescue using real fire and smoke. Please note that Warrior Lane north of Park Road to the Waukee Public Library will be temporarily closed during the burn. The library will remain open.
