It’s hard to believe that the time has come to start planning for your current 7th grade students’ 8th grade year. Please plan on attending the 8th grade Prairieview Orientation on Monday, February 29, 2016. As we continue to grow it has become necessary to have three sessions in order to accommodate the number of students and parents. To create an environment that is conducive to hearing the presentation, we have planned to have the orientation at the Theater Arts Center at Prairieview. It’s a great place if you haven’t been, you will enjoy the space and we hope you will also enjoy the presentation!
The orientation will include a general overview of what the 8th grade year will look like. The scheduling also begins at this time. Students will receive a course guide and will have time to peruse their choices before having to determine what they would like to choose for their classes for the 2016-2017 school year.
On March 7, 2016, counselors and administrators from Prairieview will go to Waukee Middle School to assist students in the online registration process.
Due to the size of our meeting space, we had to schedule three different meeting times. Please do your best to attend the session that you are assigned to!
Session 1 5:30 pm Last Names: A thru G
Session 2 6:15 pm Last Names: H thru R
Session 3 7:00 pm Last Names: S thru Z
We will do our very, very best to keep the sessions to 30 minutes in length! If you are unable to attend, no worries, we will send the course guides to Waukee Middle School after the orientations have been held. Your student will be able to pick one up in the counselors’ offices.
